The Importance of a Good SRE Program
A successful SRE program will establish a joint understanding of the reliability objectives that we've got as organization. Ops usually handles code in production and then a sort of separate SRE team makes sure that it's got the uptime or response time. And because the dialogue happens at different levels of the organization, so at the team level for the services they own and then at the management level for kind of aggregate services that are offered externally.
