The Limits of Parks and Rec

I think that Parks and Rec definitely was up against a lot of expectations in the beginning. It always felt like we were kind of the underdog, you know, we were never, our ratings were never that good. But I think that part of that fueled, fueled us. We all loved each other and had so much fun that didn't want it to end. Nobody was falling in love with [the show] at first but by season two or three they did. And if you allow it to have that time, it can be transcendent. That's what I'm so deeply like saddened about the state of television today.
