A lot of places going to the carrying carry out, not necessarily because it's environmentally friendly. But I think more so because they don't want to deal with the pain of having to deal with waste bins in those areas. Technology can help solve that problem. And if a trailhead wants a waste bin there, and a regular waste bin means that some person from the park service needs to go there every day to check on that Waste Bin. That's a misuse of park resources that you know that person can probably doing a much more valuable task.
