Trauma in the Body

When white bodies get uncomfortable, people die. When black men kneel on the football field quietly to protest police brutality and black people in this country, he loses his job. And so we end up passing that trauma down decontextualize it doesn't get examined. We don't explore it, but it is traumatizing nonetheless. It creates ways for us to protect and survive, but it doesn't give us the context for it.
