Is There a Difference Between Open and Close?

When I'm laying metadata down, I always give myself a literal description first. And then if there are other kind of non-literal things, those also go in there. Things like dark, bright, fast, hard, distorted, clean,. Those types of things. Then beyond that, I have like the cream of the crop kind of subcategories that I do to tag it with the word badass and so on. So instead of bad ass or bad ass, I really want to be able to find anything under "gooch" That's my secret word for when I was starting to build my own library.
