What they actually did was produce pamphlets and other kinds of propaganda attacking evelt’s new deals. They also helped to finance lawsuits that were challenging different parts of the new deal. But could never be straightforward about that at allwit had to present itself as much more grass roots, popular, upsterge than it really was.
