A lot of these firms got started in 2010 2011 2012 right all they knew was a bull market if you were an employee start working for a startup. Now venture capitalists are starting to think like hedge fund managers on those and say do I need to start actually managing a portfolio? The whole buy and hold thing in the VC world isn't going to work in every environment, he says.
