The Battle of Front Royal
Stonewall fakes out federal forces once again by sending some cavalry led by Turner Ashby down the Shenandoah Valley. He then discreetly takes other forces east over the Massenuten Mountains and down the bottom of the parallel running Lure Valley. On May 25th, Old Jack's 15,000 or so men make short work of the 6,000 Union troops who can't flee from the battle of Winchester fast enough.
