The Importance of Prosthetics in Conflicts
Many people who would have died in earlier conflicts, maybe even just 20 or 30 years ago, those that would have died were living. That then put a huge strain on the rest of the medical infrastructure. Andrei: A lot of the amputations that we have now are from the artillery shots. Also, what is happening right now in Ukraine is the hottest conflict on Earth. So we have to make sure that the prosthetics that we make are going to serve them for the next 50, 60 years and more.
