The Case of the Perkins Family in California

Carter perkins, robert perkins and a man named sandy ones were all enslaved by the same family from mississippi. They arrived in california with the son of ther the man who enslaved them. The case went all the way to the california supreme court, which ruled that california's fugitive slave law was constitutional. It also set a precedent for the rest of the united states.
