The Threat of TikTok

TikTok has galvanized people on both sides regarding how it is able to perhaps not radicalize as YouTube is accused of but give people a warped view of the world. A lot of the bills that have been proposed to get it TikTok would empower the government to police foreign speech more generally. In general, it represents a novel threat to a lot of American policymakers because it's the first time we've seen a foreign platform really succeed on its own merits in America.
