There's a bit of a whisper campaign out there around that, oh, well, you can vote for Smith because don't worry, we're going to dump her after the election. But this harkens back to Trudeau's senior moment. When Clark won in 79 Trudeau stepped down as leader of the Liberal Party. And so then the Liberals defeat the Clark government in the House and he comes back as leader. People really want to vote against Clark, but they don't want to vote for Trudeau.
