How Google Canonicalizes Synchronized Links

Google is more sensitive than it used to be. If there is even what I consider some fairly low key changes, it will sometimes decide to ignore that hint. It's interesting because lots of agencies, especially those that do PR and outreach will report syndicated links to clients. The actual text on the page is a reasonably small amount of the actual content on the page.
