The Tower of London Bombing
In 1885 an incendiary bomb roared through the Tower of London and burned its way into historical infamy with a nickname Dynamite Saturday. The tower was locked down by a Whitechapel detective who ordered the gates closed so that he could question everyone there. That wasn't even the biggest moment in Scotland Yard's efforts to stop the Fennian bombs, that came two years later during Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee.
