The Moon Stations of the Ancient World

The concept of Moon stations was also present in Indian and Chinese astronomy. These three cultures identified almost exactly the same Moon stations as each other. The constellations that are visible to you change from season to season. Ancient peoples were well aware of this gradual annual change of the constellations, and they would use them to keep track of the seasons.
