In a highly unequal society, there will be some disparate impact from any neutral tool that you adopt. And if you therefore discard the tool and consistently overlook qualified people, I do have some concerns. But again, I don't know that that's the alternative. It depends very much on what you replace the test with. You would probably be in favor of higher, higher pay, easier, easier to fire.
