How to Delete a Password in an IRC Session

These are all emacs macros as far as I know or emacs shortcuts. And another one I often use is control u to delete a password that you've typed in. So do you not know about control w which is delete word or alt D which deletes the word the other direction then. No capital F lowercase X is on my shortcut for some reason I have no idea what that's telling meI don't know but it's just I decided at one point that is what I needed to be.
