When he was 14 years old, Nicki worked in a local supermarket. By the time she finished high school and started working at a law firm her pay had gone up to $12 an hour. But fast food chains like McDonald's keep people on until they're 21. She says it doesn't make sense that workers under 18s are paid so much less than those who have been through university.
