Bomber Command - What a Difference That Makes?
Dresden was very lightly defended and there were insufficient bombing shelters, although I will say that the go lighter of Dresden which man had he was already he was taken care of. There weren't enough sellers but the problem is with a firestorm once the fires got going because the marking was tight, all the subsequent bombers dropped in a tight pattern. The level of extraordinary sophistication and coordination pulling the Germans away from Dresden on that night was amazing. And I think it sort of shocked everyone that that when all this came together and worked so perfectly so much destruction could be wrong from it.
