External Suballic Version of ECV
You cannot do an external suballic version if there's multi-fetal gestation. Fetal growth restriction is a relative contraindication because the baby is already in a harsh intrauter environment. If that growth restricted fetus also has abnormal dopplers definitely don't put the child under extra stress by trying to do an ECV in that case. The bulk of the data came from ACOG, practice bulletin number two to one, which was updated May of 2020,. as well as data from the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine.
