Pre-Revolutionary Disequilibrium - Resistance and Frustration

Resistance and frustration are two very normal political feelings, even in stable systems. Frustration is expressed in apocalyptic terms that all but preclude the possibility of reconciliation after a revolution. A society organized around an absolute monarch can't be challenged by new notions of rights and constitutions until those ideas exist. The intellectual currents of regimes on the verge of becoming ASEAN regimes must flowing without effective interference from that regime.
