I think Matthew and Luke agree if all the Christians kind of knew that and they kind of knew what John was doing that he was making a theological point. The early church in the second and third and fourth century who are reading and studying and pouring over these texts were not bothered by that kind of what to us looks like a discrepancy. But I'm open to being persuaded yeah.
