The Dual Process of Working Memory
People's working memory capacity is essentially like, giving them a second arm. We take advantage of this when we're lecturing by using pictures and then talking over the pictures. If you have a slide that's full of writing, what a person has to do to read that is they look at the signs. But then in their mind, it gets translated into sound. So make sure you don't use too many words in your slides or presentations.
