The Importance of Relationships in Navigation

Relationships should be the main form of navigation. We're mapping out the user's mental model here, how they think about how things connect and that is going to be the most intuitive way for them to navigate. There is nothing intuitive about navigating through a list of static links at the top of a page. Now we do need main navigation, global navigation, whatever you want to call it. That is like the user's needs to kind of go back like, okay, let me just go back to a top level. But the main way that they're going to have that beautiful exploration isgoing to be through navigating through relationships between objects.
