How to Measure Overhead in PGSIS
On my system, there was about 25% overhead just from logging everything. And then I turned that off and got it down to a couple of percent. By the way, EPF analysis would be great here. You should see that overhead comes from auto explain. So we can have same query, but depending on parameters, overhead may be different because plans are different.
