"It's a pretty difficult material for water to move through. It needs to get through these copper line steel canisters, which again, don't corrode well at all in an oxygen-free environment," he says. "When I learned particularly about the rock part of things, like a lot of my anxieties were diminished because it's a pretty extraordinary barrier."
