Three Great Moments on a Holiday

Journey Across Japan is a podcast about Japanese niceness and receiving things from strangers. I thought I would contribute by adding some of my stories to the pool. The first time I was in Hakodata, an elderly man caught wind of our foreigners when we were using the public foot bath near our hostel. He quickly founds on us with his self-proclaimed fluency in Chinese and English via watching YouTube videos. As he did this, another elderly woman in the foot bath quickly pitched in and handed us some more snacks. Do people just have snacks on them, constantly? It seems so.
