Bob Greene: California's regulations make it easier for people to sue local businesses. He says one of the most burdensome is Prop 65, which requires companies to post warnings about chemicals in their products or on their property. Greene: There have been over $300 million in Prop 65 settlements over the past two decades. Businesses are so scared of these lawsuits that they've found one example of a business attaching Prop 65 warnings to the trees he had for sale.
