i love the idea of also managing up, because i think it also creates less friction for you in your job. A big part of getting yuesses is framing your ideas in ways that benefit the other person. You want to frame requests in a way where they feel like they would get something out of it too. And so often when we just shoot any mal shoot off a slack message asking some one to do something, we forget that the other person also has a ton of stuff on their plate,. Also has a bunch of other people making requests of then from left and right. We really need to give them that reason. Well, its a tota win.
