The WGA and the Writer's Guild
The writers fear that the studios are trying to destroy their union. That's not true. They're trying to weaken the union because that's what they, the, the 3D chess is about in any kind of like collective bargaining. One area would be arbitration or script. The studios don't want to bother with that. And sometimes writers get very, very pissed off in the outcomes of an arbitration. A classic example was Quentin Tarantino.
