The Mitzvah of Emuna
In the morning vuqim, hailik alaf arqnun, where he defines what we call emuna, he uses the Arabic, jude Arabic word itikad. It's translated to Hebrew as emuna, or believe itikad or emuna is only possible after comprehension. So in other words, you have the thing in your head. And emuna means that you're convinced that that thing exists in reality the same way it exists in your mind.
