Is There Something That Could Predict the Persistence of Humans?
The soil carbon percentage may be very indicative more than anything else of the human species. When you do monocrop agriculture, there's no animals on that land to poop or pee and return nitrogen and carbon. A farm in Georgia has been doing regenerative agriculture with rotational grazing. The cows eat the grass, they move, they eat the grass,. But the time they get back to this one, the grass has grown and it's super green and lush. This is how buffalo and grazing animals always do it.
