The Origins of the CCRU
The CCRU was formed in the 1960s by Nick Land and Sadie Plant. The term "situationism" refers to an idea that all social relations, they said, came to be mediated by images. They never liked to give shout outs to other thinkers like Marshall McLuhan because they had to kind of be antagonistic to them.
