The Second Hand Third Hand Communication Process in the Shapiro Case

The objection to Shapiro is not that he said anything offensive but that he should have predicted that it could have been misunderstood as offensive. In each of these cases we're less concerned about whether it's true that this other version was in fact you know less concerned about inequality or more willing to offend it than that there's this wide perception that they are. So we have this general rule that once an accusation is made it doesn't really matter if it's true we're all supposed to act as if it'm true because that's the sort of thing somebody who cared about this issue would do right.
