The Importance of Thinking for Yourself

The last two episodes have been about the idea of thinking for yourself. This week, we look at what rson would say to a person who says that you can't escape society's influence whether you like it or not. Rson: Even if every thought i've ever had could have been predicted by some sort of cultural super computer, isn't there an enormous amount of value in being more self aware of the origins of my thinking? The people living then will have no choice, apparently, but to be a by product of you.
