The Importance of Mass in Mathematics

My parents, they weren't particularly religious. I wasn't baptized, which is fairly unusual. But they did have this sort of sense and the world could be a better place. And I think that that's probably fed into my interest in other ideas in the occult. You said you read mathematics at Cambridge before going on to become an author. What was your A levels maths like? Was it very scientific or skeptical? It made quite impression on me because people somehow assume that maths will be very scientific and very skeptical.
