Is Linear Thinking a Good Idea?

I think linear thinking has its place, it's important because you kind of need to know that if you're going to walk a mile and you can kind of see where you're going. I think where it can get sort of unstuck is the application of that sort of thinking toward complex systems basically. And then we create 100 problems for every one problem we think we solved. Then we wonder why things are getting worse. We have no idea. So that's sort of what I'd say about many thinking.
