Is Feigin a Good Word?

This is band nine vocabulary. I've never heard a student use this word in all of the times I've done, you know, speaking tests. A lot also like to feign happiness, to feign sadness. If you're talking about maybe a government or write a company faking something in some way, faking progress instead say feign or feigning progress. Actually, I am good at feigning interest. Those two words are often used together for dates. It's not just fake, right? It's very specific.
