The Trouble With Edward's Divorce From Catherine of Argon
When henry's young son, edward became king, his advisers pushed even further and outlawed many of the traditional catholic practices. A few weeks after thomas wilson's book on rhetoric was published in 15 53, the young king became ill. It seemed that neither of edward's sisters would be fully accepted as queen. So edward tried to pull a rabbit out of the hat, and that rabbit was his cousin lady, jane grey. She was the granddaughter of henry the eighth's sister, mary, and she was a protestant.
