Nietzsche's the Theogenous
The only thing that could be understood by the Alexandrian culture that inherited The Theogenous's work was as a moral teaching. Nietzsche writes, quote, The Socratic school use of the book sealed it as a school book. One would now find ethical principles, when before one would find everything noble. References to symphonic communities were no longer understood. The Theogenous himself was no longer known. And so in the final paragraph of this essay, Nietzsche ties together all the mini threads of analysis we've sort of examined considering Theogenous's life and work with his interpretation thereof.
