Brian worked with Leslie Buck, who rolled out the defensive tactics and edge weapon countermeasures program for the Philippine force recon marines. And so this kind of tended towards some prescriptive stuff, although there's contradictions. There were a lot of constraint space games in Pahiti but they were always taught as an extension of the flow drills. This was mixed with the prescriptive approach. It kind of gelled for me a little bit because when I started Jiu Jitsu, I started getting really into like the straight last gym stuff.
