Beowulf - A Poem About Motherhood and Feuding and Blood Guilt
The poet is composing this in a time in which these tribal feuds do not exist any more, at least not to the same degree. And we see these nations that are constantly worried about what their fate is going to be when they don't have their strong man to protect them. This is what happens with er at the very end, when beowulf's death is is upon him, and the people cry out and think, what will become of the yats? You know, denmark, swede and france. Where are the yacts? Oh, so this is taking place at the birth of these, these kingdoms which will become the countries of europe in later times
