Comparing Dominance and Prestige in Leadership

This chapter discusses a research study that compared the effectiveness of leaders who are high in dominance versus leaders who are high in prestige. The study found that groups led by a prestigious leader performed better on tasks that required creative thinking, while groups led by a dominant leader performed better on tasks that required analytical thinking. The implications of these findings on leadership in different contexts are discussed.
