Weddings Aren't About You, but About Your Friends and Loved Ones
I think so often as well we're told that weddings aren't about us, like they're about the people getting married. But I don't know if that's always true, like weddings often affect people in many, many, many ways. People get sad because they're not invited, people get annoyed because they might have to fork out heaps of cash to be part of this celebration and people feel devastated when they realize that maybe their friends mean more to them than they do to their friends. It is bigger than that and there's clearly deeper insecurities at play here that really, really do matter. Yeah, I also feel like as a bride, there is this strange pressure externally
