"I think that languages as you say it's socially determined and when someone says there's a right and way wrong way they're really making a statement about the about society," he said. "We need more conventions in writing than we need in speech but I want to clarify that speech has a lot of rules so I think a lot of times people misconstrued what I'm saying to mean okay we don't have to have rules when we talk it's not important"
