The population of monarch butterflies in north America has declined between somewhere between to 22 and 72 % over the last decade. Monarch butterflies, last week got added to the endangered species list by the national union for the conservation of nature. Scientists believe that dramatic steps have to be taken to repopulate the world with monarch butterflies.
