Still Waters From Psalm 23
In psalm 23, it is translated as still or quiet waters that the pherd brings his sheep to. During the dry season, water would have been stored in cisterns where it sits still. Cities often were built around places with natural springs. But water that moves is safer to drink, whether from springs or from rains.
