Is There a More Literacy Based Approach to Science?
i'm wondering how, especially elementary teachers feel about a more literacy based approach to science. Because in my experience as an administratoror even as a teacher, elementary teachers seem to be afraid of teaching science. Are you finding an approach with literacy like help soften that blow, if you will? Definitely. I i think of the the kind of enramps to teaching science that come when teachers see that we're engaging a a students in some of the same things that they have engaged students with in their reading contexts. And so it's a real comfort area, for sure, for teachers.
