I tend to be quite cautious when we approach newsletter growth for people we work with. It's so much harder to assess whether you're actually getting a good ROI or if you're just getting vanity metrics out of it compared to purchases and things like that. The paid recommendations for free recommendations, as far as I can tell, is blowing everything else out of the water in terms of the ROI on the time and the money investing. But there are few products that honestly feel like magic.
