How to Be a Better Listener

LZ Granderson: Listening is a lifelong pursuit for all of us. He says we often think of listening as simply the closing of the mouse instead of the sort of worrying of the mind. To become a better listener, he says, you need to first see your time with that person and then assume they have some sort of good purpose behind what they're saying. LZ: A huge part of listening is just, and listening well, is resisting your own reaction to say something more or actually talking less.
